Nevermind the Yves
Now there’s no more Yves Saint Laurent. There’s only Saint Laurent, or better Saint Laurent Paris. But rest your hearts, the iconic logo, YSL, will remain the same. The decision was made by the brand’s new creative director, Heidi Slimane, who wanted to start a new era, but still respecting the essence and the past of YSL. The inspiration for the change? The name of the prêt-à-porter line in 1966 – Saint Laurent Rive Gauche.
It’s also expectable a renovation in the YSL shops. But for now we’re all waiting for Slimane’s debut collection, as creative director, that will happen at Paris Fashion Week in the end of September.
There’s no more Yves, so what more changes can we expect? Only time (and Paris Fashion Week) will tell.
