NBA: Eighteen former NBA players have been charged with federal crimes after defrauding the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan out of about $4 million, per Tom Winter. Notable names in the scandal include Tony Allen, Glen Davis, and Sebastian Telfair.

NFL: Linebacker Jaylon Smith signed a one-year deal to join the Packers. Smith was surprisingly cut by the Cowboys earlier this week.
