The Draft

The sports world is slightly upside-down this week. The Lakers keep losing, the Wizards keep winning, and Duke-Syracuse was a relatively meaningless game in the annals of their rivalry.

Making Headlines

NFL: Titans 2020 first-round draft pick OT Isaiah Wilson tweeted he’s “done with football as a Titan.”

NBA: The Rockets are set to waive four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, according to The Athletic. Also: Veteran center Pau Gasol announced he is headed to Spain to play for Barcelona.

MLB: The Tigers agreed to terms with veteran right-hander Julio Teheran on a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

Tonight’s Action

No. 17 Kansas at No. 14 Texas

Watch: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN

Odds: Texas -2.5 || O/U 138.5

Pick: The Jayhawks are riding a five-game winning streak and the Longhorns have dropped four of six, but Kansas’ shooting woes are still a problem. Look for Texas to bounce back — take the points and the under.

 Shoutout: Yesterday, we asked subscribers to predict the winner, score and first goal-scorer of Lightning-Hurricanes. Tampa won 4-2 and Carolina’s Jesper Fast scored first.

David Nagelberg (@SportsGuruDave) gets a back-to-back shoutout for predicting a 3-1 Lightning victory. No one else had the Lightning (including us) and no one had Fast.
