NHL: Two-time Stanley Cup winner Andrew Shaw announced his retirement from the Blackhawks due to repeated concussions.

MLB: The Athletics’ 13-game winning streak was snapped by the Orioles’ 8-1 win. Also: Shohei Ohtani blasted a mammoth league-tying seventh home run in the Angels’ 4-2 win over the Astros.

NBA: Stephen Curry hit seven threes during the Warriors’ 117-113 victory over the Kings to set an NBA record for most threes in a month (85).
