NBA: Ben Simmons’ representatives were reportedly unaware how much he would be fined for holding out on the 76ers. The disgruntled star was fined $360,000 for missing Monday’s exhibition game against Toronto.

MLB: Mets owner Steve Cohen met with former Cubs and Red Sox executive Theo Epstein about a possible role in their baseball operations department, but an agreement to join the organization didn’t work out, per SNY.
