The Draft

Making Headlines

NHL: In the biggest trade prior to Monday’s deadline, the Bruins acquired winger Taylor Hall and center Curtis Lazar from the Sabres for forward Anders Bjork and a 2021 second-round draft pick. Also: The Kings traded forward Jeff Carter to the Penguins in exchange for two conditional draft picks.

MLB: The Phillies topped the Braves 7-6 on a controversial ninth-inning play at home, where it appeared Alec Bohm’s foot never touched the plate. After a lengthy delay, umpires declared Bohm safe.

NBA: Enis Kanter pulled down a team-record 30 rebounds to help lift the Trail Blazers to a 118-103 win over the Pistons.
