NFL: Jets coach Robert Saleh announced that Mike White will remain starting quarterback over injured rookie Zach Wilson (right knee). Wilson was expected to practice Wednesday. Also, the Browns signed Pro Bowl guard Joel Bitonio to a three-year, $48 million extension and signed fellow guard Wyatt Teller to a four-year, $56.8 million extension.

MLB: The Red Sox have offered LHP Eduardo Rodriguez a multiyear deal in addition to their one-year, $18.4 million qualifying offer. He went 13-8 last season with a 4.74 ERA.

NBA: Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic was suspended for one game without pay following his altercation with Markieff Morris. Morris and Jimmy Butler also received fines totaling $80,000.
