Golf: Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau, Xander Schauffele, Harris English, Daniel Berger, and Scottie Scheffler were added to the U.S. Ryder Cup team by captain Steve Stricker, joining Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Justin Thomas. The tournament begins Sept. 24.

NFL: The Saints will acquire cornerback Bradley Roby from the Texans, according to NFL Network. Also: The Vikings signed offensive tackle Brian O’Neill to a five-year contract extension.

MLB: The Blue Jays defeated the Yankees 5-1 for their sixth win in a row, moving to within two games of an AL Wild Card spot.
