The Draft

We’re 24 hours from the start of the divisional round. But Friday’s biggest NFL news comes from a historic franchise — which missed the playoffs for the fifth straight year.

Making Headlines

NFL: The Titans will activate running back Derrick Henry, who will start against the Bengals on Sunday, according to ESPN. Henry led the league in rushing (937 yards) and rush TDs (10) before fracturing his foot against the Colts in Week 8.

Australian Open: Rafael Nadal advanced to the fourth round with a four-set win over No. 28 Karen Khachanov; Ashleigh Barty (1) reached the fourth round, while U.S. Open champ Emma Raducanu (17) was eliminated.

Soccer: D.C. United has agreed to trade winger Paul Arriola to FC Dallas for an MLS-record $2 million, according to The Athletic.

MLB: The players’ association is expected to submit a counteroffer to owners’ proposals when negotiations to end the lockout continue Monday.
